Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship Date Added: 10/18/2022
The Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship provides 200 high-achieving high school and college students planning to teach in the state of Indiana for at least 5 years the opportunity to earn a renewable scholarship of up to $7,500 each year for four academic years.
The application for this scholarship opens October 1. Students must apply through https://scholartrack.che.in.gov (ScholarTrack), so they will need to create a full student account before they can access the application. Indiana State University's Scott College of Business awards students interested in careers in risk management, insurance and financial services.
Scholars are offered support in the amount of:
- $9,000 per year (valued at over $36,000 over four years)
- $3,000 professional development account (may be used for study abroad and/or other leadership purposes)

Liberty Federal Credit Union is continuing the Ted Hitch Scholarship Program. Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each will be awarded in the Spring of 2022. Ten awards will be given to graduating high school seniors.

The Knights of Pythias of Indiana, a fraternal Order founded in 1864, is offering a minimum of 12 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to selected graduating seniors who meet the criteria:
-must be a senior in any high school or home school and a resident of Indiana
-must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above; must provide transcript
-must be registered in accredited college or university with proof of registration prior to disbursement of funds if you are a winner
-application must be postmarked on or before January 25, 2022 to be eligible

Eligible: Public high school seniors who are dependents of current ISTA members
This scholarship is open to students actively pursuing a degree in education who are dependents of ISTA members. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually with an option to renew for three consecutive years.

Damon P. Moore Scholarship
Eligible: Minority, Indiana public high school seniors
This scholarship is open to a minority public high school senior who plans to pursue a teaching certificate. The scholarship was named for Damon P. Moore, an African-American educator, who served three terms as ISTA president and continues to be a positive role model for young minorities aspiring to enter the education field. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually with an option to renew for three consecutive years.
Criteria for selection includes academic achievement, leadership in co-curricular activities and community involvement and submission of an essay and recommendations. Justine M. Harrell Scholarship
Eligible: Public high school seniors pursuing a degree in education (renewable for three years)
This scholarship is open to a public high school senior pursuing a degree in education. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded for a total of four years if the student maintains a 3.0 GPA enrolled in an education curriculum at an accredited college or university in Indiana. Applicants for the need-based scholarship must also meet the income criteria of at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty line.
Criteria for selection includes academic achievement, leadership in co-curricular activities and community involvement, submission of an essay and recommendations and financial need. A seven-semester transcript is required to complete application process. Application deadline is March 1 with the scholarship awarded in July.

Louis B. Russell Scholarship
Eligible: Minority, Indiana public high school seniors
This scholarship is open to a minority public high school senior who plans to pursue industrial arts, vocational education or technical preparation at an accredited post-secondary institution. This scholarship was named for Louis Russell, an African-American industrial arts educator, who acquired international recognition as the world’s longest-living heart transplant patient. The $1,000 scholarship is awarded annually with an option to renew for one consecutive year.
Applicants must be a minority pursuing education in the vocational arts and a graduate of the class of the current year entering a fully-accredited postsecondary institution as a freshman. Criteria for selection includes academic achievement, leadership in co-curricular activities and community involvement and submission of an essay and recommendations. A seven-semester transcript is required to complete application process. Application deadline is March 1 with the scholarship awarded in July.

ISTA Foundation Retired Scholarship
Eligible: Public high school seniors who are children, stepchildren, grandchildren or step grandchildren of current ISTA members
This scholarship is open to graduates of a public high school in December or May/June of the school year of application who had at least a C average, plan to participate in a formal accredited training program in the fall (apprenticeship, trade school, cosmetology, etc.) or attend a two- to four-year accredited college or university and are the children or grandchildren (stepchildren and step grandchildren qualify) of an ISTA member. The applicant does not need to have attended high school in the same district in which the ISTA member teaches, nor live with the ISTA member.
ISTA Foundation contributes to the scholarships that are awarded locally. All nominations for retired scholarship should be submitted by April 1 and will be sent to the Retired Scholarship Committee for consideration. Scholarship checks are mailed or presented to the scholarship awardees by July.

The Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship Fund was established for the purpose of receiving, investing and dispensing of funds to provide college scholarships to qualified students who are committed to pursuing an education and career in the law enforcement field. This year, the association will be awarding forty (40) $750 scholarships to qualified students who are pursuing an education and career in the criminal justice field.
The general qualifications for applicants are:

The American Society for Quality (ASQ) Evansville-Owensboro Section 0915 is offering a $500 scholarship to a high school senior graduating in their Section area.
Purpose: to assist a student who plans to attend an accredited two or four-year college program or accredited Technical School.
Eligibility:
- recipient must be a graduate during the application year from a home school, an accredited high school or learning facility within the geographic area served by ASQ Evansville-Owensboro Section 0915, or either of whose parents are members of the ASQ.
- scholarship will be awarded to the person selected by the Selection Committee, independent of any connection with ASQ membership (you and your family member(s) do not have to be a member of ASQ to be awarded).

The APWA has established a Mission to promote professional excellence, understanding of and competency and credibility in public works. To fulfill our Mission, the Indiana Chapter of the American Public Works Association is sponsoring a scholarship program for candidates pursuing a degree in related Public Works fields including but not exclusively in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Public Works Management. ELIGIBILITY:
