Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship for Spencer County  Date Added: 08/21/2018

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship (full tuition and required fees)

Be a graduate of an accredited Spencer County high school by June 2019 and attend full junior and senior year at an accredited Spencer County high school; have taken either the SAT or ACT (scores must appear on student's high school grade transcript or must be submitted separately); have a minimum weighted 3.75 cumulative grade point average at the time of application deadline; be available for an interview if selected as a finalist; apply for the scholarship in only one county.

  - enrolled full-time as a high school senior in the United States with plans to enter college no later than the Fall semester following graduation.
  - exhibit ston commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor's degree at an accredited non-profit public or private institution in the United States
      (may start at two-year institutions).
  - demonstrate critical financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income).

QuestBridge National College MatchDate Added: 09/04/2018

QuestBridge college partners are actively seeking students who have excelled academically despite financial hardship.  The cover 100% of students' demonstrated financial need so attending colleges like Stanford, Yale, Duke and MIT can be very affordable.  

Eligibility:
     - high school seniors who demonstrate:
          *Academic Achievement and Strength in Character.  Primarily A's in the most challenging courses available, strong writing ability, and motivation 
           to succeed.  Class rank and test scores are also evaluated.
          *Financial Need.  Household income of less than $65,000 annually (for a typical family of four), with minimal assets. 

Typical finalists often:
     - rank in top 5-10% of their class
     - score >1310 on SAT or >28 on the ACT
     - are among the first generation in their family to attend a four-year college
     - qualify for free or reduced-price lunch

Hagan Scholarship Foundation Date Added: 10/15/2018

For 2019 seniors in need of financial assistance in order to attend college.  Must graduate from a public high school located in an eligible state and in a county with fewer than 50,000 residents.  


Requirements: 
     -must be a citizen of the United States
     -must attend and be a student in an eligible public high school graduating class
     -must have achieved a 3.5 GPA or higher
     -must score 23 or higher on the ACT (Composite); or 1150 or higher on the SAT (Total Score)
     -must enroll in a four year college the fall semester after graduation
     -must work 240 hours in the 12 months prior to the start of each academic year of college
     -must complete the FAFSA in 2018. FAFSA EFC must be less than $6500
     -must apply for eligible Federal and State grants
     -must not have been convicted of a felony

Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship Date Added: 10/16/2018

The Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship provides 200 high-achieving high school and college students interested in pursuing a career in education the opportunity to earn a renewable scholarship of up to $7,500 each year for four academic years.

The application for this scholarship opened September 1. Students must apply through https://scholartrack.che.in.gov (ScholarTrack), so they will need to create a full student account before they can access the application. Knights of Pythias Scholarship Date Added: 10/23/18

The Knights of Pythias of Indiana, a fraternal Order founded in 1864, is offering a minimum of 12 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 to selected graduating seniors who meet the criteria:

-must be a senior in any high school or home school and a resident of Indiana
-must have a grade point average of 3.0 or above
-must submit SAT or ACT test results, if not on transcript
-must be registered in accredited college or university with proof of registration prior to disbursement of funds if you are a winner
-application must be postmarked on or before January 25, 2019 to be eligible
-application cab be computer scanned or created in a word document to increase size of answer areas.  Question sequence must remain the same.  HAND WRITTEN ANSWERS ON ANY PART OF THE APPLICATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED
-applicant must include a short typed essay (600 words or less) about goals AFTER GRADUATING from college
-applicant must include a short typed essay (600 words or less) regarding your need of financial help

Tropicana Evansville Project 21 Scholarship Program Date Added: 11/02/2018

Project 21 is an educational program designed to communicate the consequences associated with under aged gambling.  High School, Vocational and College Students (ages 17-21) may submit posters, Essays, and/or Videos/DVDs.  These mediums should specifically address the subject of deterring under aged gambling.  Top three submissions will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship.  Rules:

- Essays MUST be published in a school publication.
- Posters MUST be displayed at the school for at least one week.
- Videos MUST be no longer than 2 minutes and at least 60 seconds, and MUST be played before at least 50 students. 
- Limit one entry, per student, per year.
- Essays, poster, and/or videos MUST be submitted to Tropicana Evansville - Attn: Kim Henning, no later than April 5, 2019.
- Scholarships winners will be notified by April 26, 2019.
- Scholarship checks will be issued to the winner's college to help pay for their tuition.  These funds MUST be used to furtherthe recipient's education.

Indiana 4-H Club Scholarship Date Added: 11/06/2018

Available to 4-H members entering Purdue University, as a freshman or transfer student, majoring in the College of Agriculture or select majors, listed on the application, in the College of Health and Human Sciences.  Selection is based on the memer's overall 4-H achievement and financial need as determined by Purdue's Division of Financial Aid.

Indiana 4-H Foundation Senior Year 4-H Scholarship Date Added: 11/06/2018

Available to 4-H members in their senior year of high school. Selection is based on the member’s overall 4-H achievement. Awards range from $250.00-$1,000.00.  

Eligibility:
     - apply senior year of high school
     - applicant must be planning some post high school study or training (i.e., college, trade school, or short course.  Does not have to be Indiana
     - completed applications are to be submitted electronically in PDF format through 4HOnline or delivered to the County Extension Office on an electronic storage media device (flash drive, etc)
     - completed applications are due January 25, 2019

Indiana 4-H Youth Development Accomplishment Resume Scholarship Date Added: 11/06/2018

Available to 4-H members in grade 10-12 and the year immediately following high school graduation. Selection is based on the member’s life skill development resulting from their 4-H participation. Awards range from $1,000.00-$2,000.00. Categories include Animal Science; Citizenship; Communications; Engineering and Technological Science; Healthy Living, Food, and Nutrition Science; Leadership Development; Plant and Environmental Science; Premier Achievement; Premier Citizenship; and Premier Leadership.

Indiana State University Gongaware Scholarship Date Added: 11/06/2018

 For students studying for a career in insurance and risk management or financial services only. Students selected for the Gongaware Scholarship will receive:

  • Full in-state tuition for four years
  • Professional Development Account ($3,000) to enhance professional growth
  • Comprehensive professional development program, which is an experiential approach based upon problem-based learning
  • International travel and study abroad opportunities
  • Corporate, Staff, and Faculty mentoring throughout your four years
  • Laptop computer through ISU laptop award scholarship

Eligibility - must possess two of the following three criteria: 

  • cumulative GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
  • 1140 SAT (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing and Math) or 23 ACT
  • Ranking in the top 15% of senior class

**Must be accepted to ISU by December 1**

Anyone interested in attending ISU and majoring in Insurance and Risk Management or Financial Services, please let the Guidance Office know by November 20.  Students may be nominated by someone or self-nominate.

Kiwanis Indiana Foundation Scholarship Date Added: 11/27/2018

Any graduating senior that is a member of the Key Club can apply for a chance to receive a $1,000 scholarship.  

Requirements:
     - must attend a school in Indiana for their post-high school education
     - transcript of grades must accompany the application

Kiwanis Club of South Spencer Scholarship Date Added: 11/27/2018

One-time award.  Must be an active Key Club Member with 20 hours of service their senior year or 50 hours of service for their high school career in Key Club.  Recipient will be picked by Kiwanis of South Spencer Scholarship Committee.  Scholarship will be based on Service or Need at committee's discretion.  Please submit a transcript with your application.

ETFCU Scholarship Program - Ted Hitch Date Added: 12/13/2018

Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union is continuing the Ted Hitch Scholarship Program.  Scholarships in the amount of $5,000 each will be awarded in the Spring of 2019.  Ten awards will be given to graduating high school seniors.  
Applicants must have/submit:
    *Minimum GPA of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale at the end of the fall semester
    *Essay
    *Two letters of reference
    *Copy of FAFSA

Scholarship applicant must be a member, or immediate family member of a Knight of Columbus member in good standing.  

All scholarship applications must include:
     - a copy of your transcript 
     - a type written essay on your future goals and aspirations including where you see yourself in 10 years
     - two letters of recommendation from persons not related to applicant in a sealed envelope and return them with the application

ASQ Evansville-Owensboro Section 0915 Scholarship Date Added: 01/15/2019 

The American Society for Quality (ASQ) Evansville-Owensboro Section 0915 is offering a $500 scholarship to a high school senior graduating in their Section area.  
Purpose: to assist a student who plans to attend an accredited two or four-year college program or accredited Technical School. 

Eligibility:
     - recipient must be a graduate during the application year from a home school, an accredited high school or learning facility within the geographic area served            by ASQ Evansville-Owensboro Section 0915, or either of whose parents are members of the ASQ...
     - scholarship will be awarded to the person selected by the Selection Committee, independent of any connection with ASQ membership
     - to receive the scholarship amount, the recipient must be admitted to or enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student to an accredited college/university, with           an establishe student account.  
     - in the event the selected recipient becomes ineligible, the scholarship will be awarded to the next runner-up.

Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship Date Added: 02/04/2019

The Indiana Sheriffs' Association Scholarship Fund was established for the purpose of receiving, investing and dispensing of funds to provide college scholarships to qualified students who are committed to pursuing an education and career in the law enforcement field.  This year, the association will be awarding forty (40) $750 scholarships to qualified students who are pursuing an education and career in the criminal justice field.  

The general qualifications for applicants are:
     - to be an active affiliate or associate member of the association or a dependent child or grandchild of an active affiliate or associate member of the association                  (can apply to become a member)
     - be an Indiana resident
     - attend an Indiana College or University
     - major in a law enforcement field and enroll as a full-time student (12 hours)

LifeSpring Foundation Scholarship Date Added: 02/20/19

LifeSpring Foundation of Indiana is awarding eleven $500 scholarships this year.  To be eligible, applicants must be a high school senior with plans to go into a primary care, mental health or social service field.  Applicants must also attend a high school in LifeSpring Health Systems' service area of Clark, Crawford, Dubois, Floyd, Harrison, Orange, Perry, Scott, Spencer, and Washington Counties in Indiana.  One scholarship will be awarded per county and the awardees will be determined by a panel of judges from the LifeSpring Foundation of Indiana Board of Directors.

Evansville Home Economists Scholarship Date Added: 02/20/19

Each year the Evansville Home Economists present 2 scholarships to outstanding senior students from area schools that plan to pursue a career in a field of Home Economics/Family and Consumer Science (FACS).  This year they will award one to a student pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree and one to a student pursuing a two-year associate degree.  Each award recipient will receive $250 per year, for a total of $1000 for the four-year program, and $500 for the two-year program, providing the student continues his/her study in the field of Home Economics/FACS and maintains a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.  This field is very broad and includes areas such as: retailing, interior design, child development/early childhood education: grades preschool-2nd grade (but not elementary education, grades 3-8), dietetics, food science, etc.  A strong background in college preparatory courses, including advanced math and science is suggested; however the student does not have to have taken any FACS classes.

     - Miss Spencer County must be 18 years of age by June 1, 2020 and cannot have had her 22nd birthday by the date of the pageant
     - Miss Teen Spencer County must be 14 years of age and cannot haver had her 17th birthday by the date of the pageant
